Yes, I really think it will get better. However, if you are totally convinced you hate it, it might not. Having books and workbooks should help. Preparing activities in advanced is essential. Only you can decide if it's worth it.

It really will get better. The first year of grad school (especially the first semester) was awful. I got very little sleep and cried all the time and ate too much spaghetti. You're in a stressful situation, but it will be less stressful when you've acclimated yourself (and gotten supplies).

Also, just remember: "when you're SMART, people NEED you." Really, they were desperate to hire you, so they obviously think you're a good bet. They probably didn't expect you'd be some kind of super teacher right out of the gate.

Half the time I feel like my students are barely suppressing the urge to ask me how many minutes until recess. But probably most of them don't speak Spanish.
